DONALD S. CORENMAN, M.D., D.C.

Dr. Corenman is a native of Southern California, born and raised in Los Angeles and has lived in Vail for the last seven years. He went to undergraduate college at California State University, Northridge and subsequently to the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where, in 1978, he received his first doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Corenman then completed a post-graduate residency in Chiropractic Orthopaedics from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic receiving this degree in 1984. During these five years, he was also in full time chiropractic practice.

Dr. Corenman then went to medical school, completing his M.D. degree from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1988. His orthopaedic residency was completed in 1993 from the Detroit Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in spinal disorders from the University of Colorado in 1994.

The University of Colorado was his initial home as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery. Here he taught residents and fellows at University Hospital and was the head of the spine trauma unit at Denver General Hospital. Dr. Corenman also started the first university based chiropractic residency in the country. Doctor Corenman has lectured to professionals in Europe and Asia as well as all over the United States.

Dr. Corenman is board certified in orthopaedic surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a charter diplomate of the American Board of Spine Surgery, and a diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopaedics.

Dr. Corenman practices at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado and is currently a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Colorado, and an adjunct instructor of chiropractic medicine at LACC.
